Chain driven overhead-cam 350cc race bike introduced in 1948 following on from the "cammy" pre war models
Instantly successful both as a factory machine and with privateer entries
Production ceased in 1963 when single-cylinder race machines struggled against multi-cylinder competition
This early 1956 example has been with the same owner since 1986 and has been raced at various circuits over the last 34 years
Notable successes being a 3rd in 2010 at the Goodwood Revival, beating the likes of Chas Mortimer and Phil Read and 12 Isle of Man appearances with a 90mph average in 1996 at the Manx GP
Original Dunlop rims still fitted with the rears still on original spokes
Engine has Ron Lewis crank cases fitted and the gearbox is a 5-speed Mick Hemmings unit
Previous owner traced the bike's history back to 1972, information included
Maintained to a good standard, fitted with a 3. 5-gallon fuel tank and complete with a spares package as pictured including, megaphone exhaust, sprockets, etc.
Not used since 2020 so recommissioning would be required before track use
Eligible for the competitive Lansdowne Race Series that still fields a 350cc class
