Description
The Land Cruiser FJ40 series replaced the FJ20 series in January 1960. The FJ40 series had a high and a low ratio and the four-speed gearbox was replaced by a three-speed gearbox with a higher ratio and an extra low 1st gear.
This gave better stability on the road or off-road. In 1974 the Land Cruiser FJ40 was delivered with a new 2. 977cc (Type B) diesel engine. The FJ40/ BJ40 models were produced from 1960 to 1984 and gained an extraordinary reputation worldwide as a particularly robust car.
Our car has been partially restored, with the engine, clutch and gearbox overhauled. Accounts are available for this. It now stands as a beautifully restored car. It also has four nice thick alloy wheels and also a hood. As the type indicates, it is a petrol version with a capacity of 4. 2 liters and is virtually indestructible. The interior also looks very nice, all in all a beautiful Toyota FJ40 for the enthusiast.
