According to the manufacturer, just 846 copies of the Fiat Ghia 1500 GT – later renamed Ghia 1500 GT – were built from 1963. It was created on the basis of the rather conservative Fiat 1500 C by the Turin body specialists Ghia using a Gilco-tubular frame (Gilberto Colombo). With a shortened body and increased output to 49 kW (67 hp), the coupé reached a respectable top speed of 180 km/ h.
