Honda S2000 2. 0 V-TEC GT, finished in Moon Rock grey metallic over black leather. The Honda S2000 was built by people who share a passion for race engineering. It’s a design that performs as well as it looks, reducing lift and optimising the balance between the front and rear ends for superior stability at high speeds.
SPECIFICATION
The following features come as standard on the GT: body coloured detachable hard-top, electric soft-top convertible roof with heated rear screen, SRS airbags, 17" alloy wheels, remote central locking, interior & perimeter alarm, electric heated door mirrors, air conditioning, electric windows, leather seats, leather and alloy gear knob, leather wrapped steering wheel, drilled aluminium pedals, “push” engine start button and headlight washers. The vehicle is also offered with both keys and alarm fobs.
BACKGROUND
A 2009 and therefore final production, second generation S2000 with just 2 owners from new. A fully documented MOT history, current valid until 12/ 23, supports the recorded low mileage of 68178miles. The service book presents a concise record of 9 stamps, all except the last with Honda main dealer.
MECHANICAL
The 4-cylinder DOHC VTEC engine delivers 240PS and a maximum torque of 208Nm. As a result, the S2000 delivers power from low engine speeds all the way up to the 9, 000rpm redline. 0-62mph is achieved in just 6. 2 seconds. The S2000 V-TEC has won 4 International Engine of the Year awards and is a totally unique power unit that brings true racetrack power to the road in a way that has never felt so exhilarating.
Upgrades to suspension were included in the second generation which improved handling and rigidity. On road test the S2000 provides a truly responsive driving experience that is a quick reminder of why this vehicle carries the reputation it does.
EXTERIOR
The exterior paintwork is in excellent condition with only minor and insignificant age-related marks in one or two areas. The wheels present well, with only one showing a small area of damage on the rim edge.
The electric convertible roof operates as intended and the fabric is in good condition. The original GT hard top is supplied with vehicle and matches the great exterior vehicle condition.
INTERIOR
Inside the black leather interior has aged well and is presented free of any rips, tears or damage. The bolsters all hold their original shape, with only minor wear level on the driver seat. The steering wheel, dashboard, door trims, carpets and centre console are all in great condition and commensurate with the low mileage.
This vehicle is considered by many to be one of the best all round 2 seat convertible sports cars that money can buy and will no doubt be one that will be highly desired for years to come.
