1958 Fixed Head Coupe Powered By TVR V8.
A retired motor engineer, who had a passion and skills to restore and up grade to a high standard. Around 2001 the base MGA was selected / purchased, over a 10 year period a photographic and document restoration and upgrades took place. Around 2011 / 2012 the MGA took pride of place on the Performance stand at the NEC Classic Show.
During the 10yr restoration, the car was completely stripped to a bare chassis and body, the install of the V8 acquired from a TVR was engineered into place, Ford Cosworth T5 Gearbox along with Ford Cosworth Rear independent suspension / brakes and fixed differential unit were also engineered into place, controlled with adjustable coil over’s. Front Suspension upgraded to Corello Double MGB Wishbones, AVO Adjustable telescopic shock absorbers, Willwood 4 Pot Callipers piped with braided hoses. Twin Tilton Master Cylinders. TVR Engine overhauled, fitted with Edelbrock Manifold and carburettor, stainless steel headers and exhaust system specifically designed. Twin Facet fuel pumps and an aluminium designed fuel tank.
Trimmed in a soft supple hide and Quality carvel carpet lined and footwell matts binded in leather. Wood rim steering wheel and gloss black dashboard. Finished in high class stunning 2pack Ferrari Rosso Corsa Red paintwork, Cobra Chrome Wheel from Motor Wheel Services.
Covered only two thousand miles, fabulous drive. Used only on nice days. Easy and comfortable drive wether your going through town’s / country roads and motorways, lots of torque and as much power as you desire to use.
