This 1959 model is finished in 'Silver Blue', with contrasting ivory inserts. It underwent a full mechanical / body and chassis restoration approx 20 years ago , undertaken by a uk based, highly respected company and has been pampered by its owners ever since
Engine : A new crate GM 350cui (5. 7 litre) v8 engine was installed at the time of restoration . this included an overhaul of the air and water system. It has recently had a new Edelbrock carburetor installed and a recent tune. New fuel lines have also recently been installed
Transmission : 4 speed manual. gearbox and clutch operate perfectly. smooth gear changes. Also to note there is no rumbles or bearing noises whatsoever
Chassis : The underside / chassis underwent a full nut and bolt restoration along with the rest of the vehicle. Although this resto was now some years ago, the car has covered limited mileage and dry stored. The under body still presents in truly excellent condition. photos can be made available on request or ramp inspection
Interior : this is largely original and is in very good order. There is nothing missing or broken . Seats are structurally excellent along with trim. a modern retro fascia (period correct) stereo has been installed which includes USB connection , modern radio etc.
Please note : this vehicle is a 4 time Corvette club UK Gold winning vehicle and known well throughout the corvette community. This is a NON PAS vehicle and is running the original drum brakes. The car would suit a purist, but would also make a perfect base for upgrades if required. Enthusiast owned, it has been maintained regardless of expense , but more importantly is a known quantity that has regular use, drives very well and attends events and shows. Its previous ownership history, locations of ownership, mechanical and restoration history is largely present within stacks of papaerwork and a large that comes with the car. Take into account that although this car presents to an extremely high standard, it is not a trailer queen or vehicle just for concourse, there are a few very small blemishes present which is commensurate with a vehicle of this type
