A very rare and unique XK140, specially ordered from Jaguar with automatic transmission, high performance engine fitted with a C type head, and black leather seats with red piping. Has a Jaguar Heritage certificate showing original build specification. In Old English White (cream), left hand drive, delivered new in 1956 to Los Angeles, USA and remained in the same family until its return to the UK around 2015. With an odometer reading of 19, 268 miles understood to be correct, but cannot be guaranteed. Being one of the most original XK140s, and as such the car is featured in Philip Porters “Original Jaguar XK The Restorers Guide” (3rd edition)
Offered for sale on behalf of a client (bereavement sale). Other than a fairly recent exterior body repaint, the vehicle does not appear to have had any major restoration work. The underside of the vehicle, engine bay area and interior appear to be in factory original condition.
