The Volkswagen T1 is without a doubt a very well-known classic icon. This characteristic and stylish passenger bus is a very popular classic worldwide. However, we have a very special specimen in our collection here. This beautiful 1973 Volkswagen T1 has been professionally converted to a fully electric version. During the restoration, it was also decided to use as many used materials as possible (wood finish, cork floor, etc.). All this has been done to emphasize sustainability as much as possible. The result is a beautiful electric Volkswagen T1 in a unique version.

The conversion to electric propulsion was carried out by EV Europe in Delft. Of course, more information about this conversion can be found on the EV-Europe website (- details above). The result is extraordinary. The car is equipped with solar panels and a 40 kW electric motor provides the drive. The battery pack is distributed over the car to retain as much originality as possible. The chassis is also extra reinforced.
The car was used by the Municipality of Arnhem as Line 2030. This Volkswagen T1 functioned as a very nice mobile office to look for solutions in various neighborhoods for a more liveable environment. Various articles can be found on the internet and that makes this car extra special.

The car is in very neat condition. Not in perfect or concours condition, but very beautiful. The paintwork is very neat and the various chrome and trim parts are in good condition. The various rubbers and seals are also in good condition. The interior is also still in good condition. The sofa and chairs were reupholstered during the restoration and the rear area has a cork floor. The furniture with cooling element and water tap (with sink) is made of used wooden materials. If necessary, the car can easily be converted into a mobile home.

The electric drive ensures a quiet and smooth driving Volkswagen T1. The car drives very smoothly and the steering feels good and solid. Braking (including regenerating) also works fine. The car is a so-called VAT car, which means that a business purchase (with VAT deduction) is possible.

A Volkswagen T1 in fully electric version is very rare. Everything revolves around sustainability and that naturally fits in perfectly with the current times. So those who want to drive a nice classic car, but want to do it completely clean, have found the right one with this car!
