This Triumph was first registered on 20th October 1972 and the v5 shows only 5 previous owners. It has new mini lite wheels fitted and stainless steel sports exhaust system, which makes it sound a bit more throaty than standard.
The bodywork is sound with just some fairly minor bubbling on a wheel arch and a small area on the scuttle panel. I have pictured these for reference. The paintwork is microblistered in a few areas but this does not notice until close up.
It has had modern seats of some sort that don?t fit properly, so these need replacing with originals. The top of rear seat is sun damaged as shown
The Triumph runs and drives very well with no nasty engine rumbles or transmission noise. Only item of note with the mechanics is the overdrive is not currently working, but I would guess this is probably the switch or solenoid
Structurally it?s fairly good with sound floors and chassis, inner wings all good. There is a small repair required t the end of one outrigger, but this will be an easy repair as the majority of outrigger is sound. Lastly some corrosion is showing on the bottom of one of the outer sills. Again it?s not major, probably only a few inches.
All in all a good car that is ready to jump in and drive. It has been used regularly and was last mot tested in 2020 (please do check mot history)
