EXTERIOR
Finished in sought-after black over black and equipped with that all-important third pedal, this low mileage 2005 M3 is a very attractive prospect indeed. The car has just been treated to a machine polish and the result is what you see here, smooth metallic paintwork with a great swirl-free shine. In line with the mileage there is an honest dusting of stone chips at the front end but the headlights remain nice and clear. A keen eye may spot one or two small marks low down on the bumpers and on driver’s side front arch, but aside from that it’s a very tidy and highly original car. The underside has also been inspected and presents in good solid condition with no issues or cracks to report around the boot floor/ subframe area.

INTERIOR
The black Nappa leather remains feeling soft to the touch with relatively few signs of wear to the heated sports seats. The dash and door cards are also in fine order with only a few expected marks to the delicate ash tray lid, driver’s door pull, and on the centre console around the hand brake. In the footwells the spotless carpets are still protected by the original BMW overmats, again all in great condition. The steering wheel retains a nice textured finish, and in recent years the sat nav screen has been renewed meaning none of the usual scratches or dead pixel issues. In the boot you’ll find the BMW CD changer, tool kit, tyre inflator, and cover for the accompanying hard top.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The S54 is an iconic six-cylinder powerplant revving to 8, 000rpm with an intoxicating rasp at higher revs, and in this M3 it’s paired with the sought-after manual gearbox. The car has just returned from our trusted classic car workshop where it received a full mechanical inspection, oil service, AC pressure test and re-gas, and new diff input oil seal. The advisory-free MOT is valid until August 2024.
