Luxury and refinement are the order of the day for this exceptional 4-seater convertible. Like the Rolls Royce Corniche, the power was described as "sufficient" in the press releases of the time. The 6. 7-litre V8 carried the Continental's occupants in supreme comfort, with a claimed top speed of almost 200 km/ h. Nothing was left to chance in the finish of this top-of-the-range convertible, right down to the matching cocktail compartments in the doors. The car was delivered new in December 1987 by Carriage House Motor Cars Ltd, the Rolls Royce dealership in New York, USA.
After spending some fifteen years in New York, it was moved to Arizona and then exported to Europe in 2009. Registered in France in 2010, it has known only one owner since then. A complete file accompanies the vehicle, testifying to its meticulous care and maintenance. The interior is original, with the exception of the woodwork, which has been restored. The soft top has recently been replaced. The paintwork shows some signs of wear and tear, with a few visible defects, mainly due to the body work in the usual places.
