First introduced in 1975, the 930 Turbo variant of the amazing Porsche 911 evolved every few years to maintain its position as one of the fastest and most desirable sports cars of its time. By 1989, the final versions were offering 330bhp, which when coupled with the new G50 5-speed gearbox, propelled the car to a top speed of 162mph and a 0-60 was covered in just 4. 9 seconds.
Porsche enthusiasts often consider the 930 of 1989 to be the ultimate incarnation, as it was the only year that this model was fitted with the 5-speed G50 gearbox which offered ratios better suited to the Turbo's power delivery, and 1989 was the last year of production of this icon which makes it just that bit 'special’ . We are absolutely thrilled to offer this exquisite C16 UK supplied 930 Turbo. It is believed to be 1 of 47 cars that came to the UK and has been cherished by just three owners since new on 1st August 1989 when it was collected from Dick Lovett Swindon, who then also serviced it until 2002. It was then sold to its next owner by Meridian Ferrari in 2001 and finally by Howard Wise cars in 2010 to its most recent keeper.
The bodywork is in outstanding condition and looks gorgeous in the iconic Guards Red with Linen Leather Sports Seats and Red Piping. Other extras include Heated Seats, Electric Roof, Tonneau Cover, Central Locking, Rear Speakers, Gradual Tinted Windscreen, Velour Carpet in Luggage Compartment, also Air Conditioning has also been fitted.
The substantial history file is very impressive with original service invoices dating back to 1991, the original service book is there supporting the great Porsche service history with 16 Porsche main dealer stamps and 2 from a specialist in 2009 and 2010. This 911 has just been serviced by Porsche Centre High Wycombe and there is an MOT until January 2025.
