The Porsche 911 needs no further introduction. As one of the most significant icons and longest-running series, the 911 is one of the most famous cars of all time. It all started in 1964 when the model succeeded the 356. The series two, recognisable by its sturdy bumpers came along in 1974.
The coupé we have on offer is a late series 1. Very popular especially as the powerful S-version. The 911S dating from April 1973 has the 2. 4, as Porsche named the 2311cc six-cylinder engine. With 190 hp output, it achieved top speeds of 230 km/ hr, which was really quite impressive nearly 50 years ago! A proper sportscar. We have a matching numbers engine, the very same one it left the factory with under the bonnet. 1973 meant the ‘S’ now was fitted with a small integrated front spoiler, distinguishing it from its more subdued sibs.

The first owner who choose a Silver-Grey metallic finish (code8080), apparently did not appreciate superfluous luxury. He added just three accessories: M258 (headrests left and right), M409 (sports seats left and right) and M440 (a left-sided antenna, front speakers and noise suppression). Come to think about it you cannot blame the man; securely seated, the unmistakable rumble of the six-cylinder boxer engine should be more than enough. Anything else is secondary.
The car has been completely restored and technically overhauled in the recent past. 49 years later this 911S still looks the part. The paintwork, wheels, chrome sills, lighting components are all in a very fine state as are any other externally visible parts.

Those hallmarks continue unabated inside. The previous owner chose an updated bucket seat providing more support and a stylish Nardi steering wheel that typically suit cars form this era. The original seat is of course present with the car and can be mounted if desired.

Under the rear lid, the original 190 hp engine lurks, one of only 1, 420 built-in 1973. It also happens to be the right one, Porsche certified this car as having “Matching Numbers” and that is quite special these days in this kind of car.

The 911 comes with the original Pflegepass, owner’s manual and a fair bundle of invoices, Porsche certificate and valuation rapports.
