Alfa Romeo's modern GTV lineage has earned a huge reputation as a sporting car with plenty of ability and loads of personality.

The early 105-Series GTV still looks good nearly 40 years on, and even the Alfetta-based GTVs of the 1980s, which at the time raised a few eyebrows, have established themselves as collectable. So there is no doubt that this GTV will manage a similar feat.

The faster version was the GTV V6, this model, which, as the name suggests, had a 3. 0-litre V6 engine that produced a stirring 162 kW of power. It made the GTV much quicker. And thanks to all-alloy construction, the V6 weighed about the same as the four-cylinder so didn't place undue extra weight over the front wheels.
