R107 SLs are effortlessly cool, they ooze style and class with abundance. First released in the early 1970s, the model was kept in production for 18 years, despite its extensive production run, the R107 has been and will continue to be a hit with enthusiasts, collectors and the average joe alike.
The above is likely thanks to its ease of use, impressive blend of reliability and build quality. The final R107s rolled off the production line in 1989, and have become some of the most desirable to this day.
The exterior presents incredibly well, and will look at home in any environment, the Smoke Grey paint is in great shape, but does have age related blemishes which are to be expected. This SL also benefits from retaining its original hard-top, meaning that this is a truly year round classic. Hop inside and you’ll be greeted by the predictable build quality and clear and easily legible gauge cluster. The interior presents in great shape with only the normal signs of wear, inline with that of a car of this age.
Under the bonnet you’ll find an M103 Mercedes six cylinder power unit, the engine bay is clean and tidy and there are no signs of any previous damage. This SL has covered just over 104, 000 miles and has been maintained to an extremely high standard including a £1200 service in 2022! There is a collection of invoices and receipts detailing maintenance work to the car including some tasteful upgrades to bring it up to date and usable for the modern collector. The addition of a bluetooth hands free as well as an upgrade to replace the standard weak point of a corroded exhaust with a tasteful full stainless steel system.
Alongside this important work has been completed, like a gearbox vacuum valve replacement and standard perishables like replacement tyres.

Not included in the sale is the private registration currently applied to the vehicle, though this is available for purchase should you be interested in retaining it.
