We are delighted to present for sale this lovely, rebuilt Series 2a crossover model, finished in Light Pastel Green with sand canvas and limestone wheels. This vehicle was fully rebuilt professionally in 2017 onto a new galvanised chassis with a host of new parts, and has covered just over 8000 miles since. The built invoice is supplied with the substantial sales pack and lists the full schedule of works, which includes (but is not limited to):

As one can see from the photos, this Series 2a is still well presented from the time of build - with a host of extras you'd hope to see.... matching as-new bonnet mounted spare (5 new 750 tyres are fitted), wing top mounted mirrors, razor bonnet with maltese grill, front lifting eyes, vintage number plates, rear grab handles and tow bar with electrics on the rear to allow towing. During the rebuild process, both rear tub quarters were replaced for new aluminium items, along with all new door tops and bottoms and locks to match - this is perhaps why the vehicle looks so straight for its age, rather than a previously dented vehicle which has been re-worked, filled and overpainted.
To the interior, there are three front deluxe seats, along with deluxe matting to the footwells. A brand new heater with front de-mist is fitted for added comfort and assistance on those wet and cold winter mornings. The rear houses a pair of bench seats to bring seating to seven people including the driver, along with a load mat to the floor area - the dash survives in largely original and unmodified condition, which is always nice to see.... we enjoy the simplicity and rugged nature of the "hard" dash models!
Out on the road, this recently rebuilt Series 2a drives exactly as it should - perhaps as a result of not having covered many miles since a comprehensive rebuild was carried out. The petrol engine starts keenly and conveys the vehicle along in an authentic period fashion, aided by the larger wheels and tyres which reduce revs throughout the range.
In summary, if you are looking for a recently rebuilt Series 2a but wish to avoid the costs of carrying out such a build yourself, then we think that this vehicle constitutes a sound purchase. With the added benefits of Tax and MOT exemption, classic insurance and that galvanised chassis, it should stand the test of time to pass down through the family, without costing the earth to look after in the meantime.
