Description
The Amilcar C4, produced between 1922 and 1929 by the French manufacturer Amilcar, is an iconic family car. Introduced at the 1922 Paris Motor Show, the C4 stands out with its extended and reinforced chassis to accommodate one to two additional seats, distinguishing itself from the CC and CS models of the same era. Although often delivered as a chassis-engine assembly, Amilcar offered various body styles in its catalog, including torpedo models, sporty torpedoes with various configurations, saloons, and even a utility vehicle called the "small delivery car."
The variety of available styles, combined with an affordable price and economical maintenance costs, contributed to the exceptional popularity of the C4 during its eight years of production.
