VW Transporter T4, 2. 4D LWB, Camper, pop top. (Registered as camper on V5)

VW long wheels base with the popular super 2. 4D gaining it's own following because it has no ECU's, sensors etc to complicate easy maintenance. As a pop top rather than high top van it fits into car parks etc under barriers ;0)

We have owned this Camper for a couple of years, mainly for our daughter who used it the first year, it never let or us her down. She has now started career training and is away. Worth noting only an elderley VW camper (99 or before) was insurable on a special camper policy for her at 22 along with her boyfriend. Other makes and motorhomes were excluded or difficult.

It comes with enough basic “bits and bobs” to use straight away including pots, plates, cooler, porta potti etc..... though you may wish to add to this inventory.

A lot of history with it evidencing care and some of the conversion, I too have done a fair bit of maintenance including shock absorbers all round, track rod ends, links and bushes, plus cambelt/ water pump recently. We looked at many vans before this one, most lacking spec. or simply having very DIY fittings etc or as rusty as hell. We have never had any body paintwork done and it is some years since any paint was applied.... invoice in file for £3705 with doors, etc in 2018 though it seems it was converted and painted orange in 2013ish.

The pop top with bed boards in veltrim finish fitted in 2013 along with the rock and roll bed etc.

Pop top in excellent leak free condition.
Awning rails fitting, either Reimo one on roof edge or one on pop top.

Excellent cupboard fittings through out.
Rock and roll bed/ seat.
Table that removes to store.
Twin passenger seat on a turn table to face rearwards as required.
Black curtains through out.
Twin Gas hob.

240V hook up wirh 240V socket.
Battery charger for domestic supply on 240v hook up.
Inverter to a 240V socket off domestic battery.
Split charge relay for charging both batteries off engine.
Eberspacher diesel heater
CD radio with bluetooth connect.
Full protective sotrage cover with vents
Drive away awning with ground sheet included, never used but believed excellent.
Flush type porta potti stored where a fitted fridge could go.
Freestanding 12v plug in cooler/ warmer... chills well.
Thatcham approved Toad/ Sterling alarm and certificate.
Unfitted used tow bar if required for bike rack, trailer etc.

The camper is in lovely order throughout, the underside I have rust proof sprayed several times and is good and solid with some evidence of repairs to a high standard. The often rotted side sliding door lower channel is not rotten either.

I have many many pictures including of the wheel arches with the black trims removed before I fitted them properly evidencing only minor rust not totally rotten arches.

Currently has an mot to end of June but it will have a new one issued upon sale at the asking price.

This vehicle is ours and registered to us, primarily for my daughter. It has not been bought as a business purchase.
