This Jaguar XK8 is a captivating British sports tourer, finished in the Zircon Blue Metallic colour, which harks back to the E-Type Opalescent Blue colour.

It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4. 0-litre V8, delivering 294PS to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.

As a result, the car launches from 0-60mph (0-100km/ h) in only 7. 0 seconds before reaching a top speed of 154 mph (248km/ h).

Here we have a Jaguar XK8 convertible with all the extras in the best colour and trim combination, Zircon Blue Metallic with cream leather. This XK8 is in excellent all round condition and must be seen to be appreciated with this low mileage it is very good value, and is available only due to the acquisition of more cars by the seller, a young entrepreneur who bought the XK8 as a present to himself in celebration of his first business success.

Our XK8 was delivered new to the UK and first registered in April 2002.

The car is in excellent overall condition, thanks to a full service history at Jaguar main dealers and specialists, with a major service 1, 000 miles ago, including two new Pirelli front tyres, to match the near new rear Pirellis. A new premium Yuasa 5000 series battery was also recently fitted. All elements of the car are in excellent condition, with the leather seats showing a few wrinkles, which add to the character of the Jaguar.

Mechanically, our model is in perfect working order. Its 294PS V-8 engine, combined with its 5-speed automatic gearbox, offers excellent performance and the beautiful original sound. Regular maintenance and extensive work have been carried out on this model, which can be consulted thanks to a fully stamped service book and invoices. Its mileage of 36, 711 miles (59, 000 kilometers) is justified by its service history and MOT (CT test) history. The last MOT test was carried out in May 2023 valid until 16 June 2024, just 1027 miles (1652 kilometres) ago.

This XK8 is the best value entry into the fabulous world of Jaguar sports cars, embodying the true Jaguar XK and E-Type spirit – for less than the cost of a family hatchback.

Historical summary of the model
The Jaguar XK8 (project code X100) is a grand tourer launched by Jaguar Cars in 1996, and was the first generation of a new XK series. TheXK8 was available in two-door coupé or two-door convertible body styles withthe new 4. 0-litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The first-generation of the XK series shares its XJS-derive dplatform with the Aston Martin DB7, with both cars tracing their history back to an abandoned Jaguar development study in the mid-1980s known as XJ41/ XJ42, which had been mooted to be known asthe F-Type.

One of the revisions is the use of the second generation of Jaguar's independent rear suspension unit, taken from the Jaguar XJ (XJ40). Development began in 1992, with design work starting earlier in late 1991. By October 1992 a design was chosen and later frozen for production in 1993. Prototypes were built from December 1993 after the X100 was given formal approval and design patents were filed in June 1994. Development concluded in 1996, with the car being unveiled in March of that year and going on sale fromOctober 1996.

The XK8 used the new 4. 0-litre 32-valve Jaguar AJ-V8 engine and was available in a two-door coupé and two-door convertible bodystyles. The new CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) adaptive suspension, which was already an option on the coupé, was added to the convertible models in 1997. Other changes for 1997 were the addition of light sensitive headlamps and anautomatically dipping rear view mirror.

From 1998 onwards, all models of the XK lineup were fitted with the Servotronic II powersteering.

The XK8 is electronically limited to a maximum speed of 250. 1 km/ h (155. 4 mph). The XK8 came standard with 17-inch alloy wheels. Both the two-door coupé and two-door convertible came with an all-leather interior, burl walnut trim, and side airbags. The interior was available in two trims, classic and sport. The classic trim was a more luxurious option and featured heavy use of leather(fitted to the car offered here). Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace.

Like its predecessor, the XJS, the XK models use a 2+2 seating layout for the interior. An optional "Jaguar boot" option involved the removal of the small rear seats in favour of increased luggage space.

Compared to the XJS, the XK models are 25 per cent stiffer and have a more responsive powertrain.
