We are very pleased to offer possibly one of the best Chevrolet Corvette’s in the country. This car has been the life’s passion of its vendor with tens of thousands of pounds and dollars spent on it whilst in their 28 year ownership. It has wanted for nothing at any point in its life, even down to the car just having c.£1, 000 spent on it recently for brake callipers. The vendor knew the car was coming to us for Auction but still wanted it to be right. This gives testament to the care and attention that the vendor has put into this amazing car. Finished in a beautiful deep black with red piping and a black leather interior, which is in superb condition, as is the whole car. It is finished off with a set of Boyd Coddington alloy wheels, which if you are in the know, is one of America’s leading wheel manufacturers and specialises in very individual wheels for special American cars.
The car is a multiple award winner and comes with a large collection of trophies won over many years at shows. It is featured in a book by Craig Cheetham called Ultimate American Cars and comes with a selection of large pictures that the vendor has had done. As previously mentioned that it has been cherished by its vendor, the car had an engine problem where the oil pump broke and caused some problems as you would expect, so rather than having an engine rebuild as most people would do, our vendor bought a new engine and had it fitted by one of the country’s leading Corvette specialists, Corvette Kingdom. This was an eye watering amount of money, but this is the way the car has been cared for, and it has only completed 7, 000 miles since the new engine. The car has also had a full nut and bolt rebuild, which comes with a photo history line showing the work carried out. Again, a frightening amount of money spent, but this is all done and makes the car show ready. The result of all this work is amazing, hence making this one of the best Corvette’s in the country.
The vendor has put together a beautiful portfolio in a special album containing all the history of the car with a host of older MOTs, including a current one until June 2024, a selection of invoices from the US for things like the engine and wheels, import paperwork, a large selection of receipts and invoices from the country’s leading specialists such as Vette Dreams, Corvette Kingdom and Speke Hall Motors who are a local American car specialists and importers. It also comes with a selection of pictures showing it at various shows around the county.
In conclusion, if you want a Corvette then this is the one. With long term ownership of 28 years by a vendor who has cherished this car without any thought of cost, with the paperwork to prove it, in a beautiful colour combination, that drives and sounds like it should, then this is the one for you. They don’t come up often as good as this.
