FULL HISTORY
Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we have a very special BMW E30, a 1990 325i Motor Sport Edition, M Tech II Sport Convertible.
These are the very sought after, special edition cars, made in very limited numbers.
This, a November 1990 example, is 1 of 150 produced in 1990, either in Macau Blue as on this car or Sebring Grey.
A rare manual example, most were autos.
This superb example has covered 114, 000 miles with full history.
Remarkably, this BMW was looked after and serviced by BMW main dealers until 2006. It was then purchased, by a BMW E30 expert, who ran the E30 section of the BMW car club for many years and also ran a race car company. It went into dry storage for 11 years, before being bare metal restored in 2017 – 2019. More recently in 2023, the car has had a full check over by ex BMW E30 master technician, Joan Goatly / AutoTech Independent BMW totalling just under £5000, including new cambelt / clutch / suspension etc.
This is the later, M Tech II, finished in Macau Blue with Motorsport Tex (Bubble) sports leather. On these special edition cars, the leather is extended to the door cards, centre console etc.
The paintwork is superb, following a full restoration in 2017 – 2019. As you can hopefully see from the many pictures and video, this car is in fantastic condition, a deep all over shine, no rust, a testament to the restoration performed.
Inside, the interior is again in excellent condition. There is a minor repair on the driver’s seat, but very small as you can see, excellent crack free dash, lovely door cards etc.
The BMW BBS Motorsport alloys (The painted centres unique to this model) are all in excellent condition.
These are a very collectable car and rarely come up for sale. Only for sale now due to a lack of storage.
Mot’d until May 2025 (No Advisories), this example is ready to be enjoyed now ..
