This is it, the genuine, only-one-lady-owner-who-mostly-took-it-to-church-car. 28 years old this year, registered in December 1982, 1300cc of untamed power in Emberglow with Savannah trim and Triomatic transmission. Zeibart warranty (now lapsed). 33, 374 miles, 1192 miles per year and always garaged when not burning up the tarmac. MOT until August 2011.
It's been in the garage since 2005. Finally, auntie has agreed that she's not going to drive it again. With the battery re-charged it started first time. Three new tyres and a tiny bit of welding on the offside sill and she sailed through the MOT. Drives beautifully, really does.
Now, the issues; ever since she bought the car it has been jinxed, other cars have parked too closely, pavements have jumped out in front of it, lamp posts have moved just as auntie was parking. Never, absolutely never, did auntie have an accident, everyone else did. There's nothing major, tiny little dints and things. Just seems that even though it only went to church (and we mean that), the route through Bedford was more demanding than most places. As we say, nothing major just dints.
Auntie had most of the mishaps repaired. In most professions colour blindness creates few problems but someone should have suggested to aunties' bodywork man that he would be more suited to another career. Each repair has been beautifully executed and painted superbly, in a colour nearly but not exactly the same as the original Emberglow red. The most obvious mishap is the offside, where the photo shows a rear door that is just not quite right. There are also a couple of bumper mishaps that will need attention if you are going for perfect.
The interior is clean and consistent with the mileage, only issue is a missing passenger headrest. Presumably removed as evidence following one of aunties mishaps.
Tinker with the paintwork and you have an almost perfect car. Keep it dry and it can only appreciate. What's more this car could easily have a life as a daily driver, where else can a car with only 33K on the clock cost this little?
You're welcome to view but if you come expecting to drive it away, please remember, it has an MOT but is not taxed.
