1935 Matchless F4 250 cc OHV Sloper Sports Fitted with "Dowty" front and rear Air/ Hydraulic suspension on swing arm rear suspension , The history supplied with this extremely rare bike states it to be a "Dowty" prototype motorcycle purchased by "Dowty" along with a Scott and Velocette . It is noted in the history supplied that due to an accident on one of the three bikes the project was shelved . This bike escaping out of the back door . The "Dowty" units have been professionally restored and its rare to see the "OILIO" rear Candle stick shock absorbers , Note the brake plates and extra engineering all to a superb standard Noted as "Aerospace" quality in the history , The rear units are numbered 1 and 2 and are not the type latterly marketed . This is a lovely Pre War Matchless and with an interesting and unique provenance , Current V5C , Original registration and Interesting history supplied , Viewing welcome
