Meticulous collector selling a very beautiful Mercedes 220 SE coupé, fully restored a few years ago by the previous owner. The car was immobilised under tarpaulin for around twenty years while awaiting the settlement of a difficult inheritance and was then restored to the highest standard by the person who inherited it. (In particular, all the chrome was redone and the paintwork returned to its original colour. The only recent mechanical work since I have owned it, i. e. 4 years, is the axle shaft which was a little too noisy and which has been rebuilt (bearings, all the seals etc). The rest has never caused the slightest problem, the car starts immediately and is totally reliable. Perfect power steering, very smooth mechanical gearbox. Voluptuous sound from this legendary and robust assembler.
For aesthetic reasons, all the interior upholstery was redone in the original Mercedes colour by a professional last year. The woodwork is in original condition, which shows that this car has always been regularly and perfectly maintained. Finally, the "plus" of this beautiful coupé is its sunroof (mechanical and perfectly waterproof). Original Becker radio and electric aerial. And finally the option of power steering.
