DG Classic in Albi is offering for sale a BMW E21 320 (carburettor) signed by coachbuilder Baur, an emblematic model for classic car enthusiasts. First put on the road in August 1982, the in-line 6-cylinder has clocked up 281, 536 kilometres.
Carefully maintained, it combines timeless elegance of design with the quality of its powertrain. The engine was replaced in March 2023 and has clocked up 5, 000 kilometres. A complete bodywork overhaul was carried out on the car. 4, 595 examples of the BMW E21 Baur were produced between 1977 and 1982. In addition to their manufacturer's plate, the TC1s had a Baur identification plate showing their production number in the series and the colour of their soft top. 320s and 323s accounted for the vast majority of production (1, 874 and 1, 659 units respectively). Baur will continue with the BMW E30 and its TC2 option before BMW takes over the reins with the BMW E36.
