Versatile and reputedly indestructible, the Defender can do it all! Produced since 1985, the original recipe has changed very little, and this 2008 version retains the essential features that have made the Defender such a success, with the added bonus of comfort.
The 130 Crew Cab is the ultimate version, just over 5 metres long, with a double cab and a covered pick-up bed. It's the ideal work tool for everyday use as well as for trips to the countryside or mountains.
On the engine side, it is fitted with the famous TD4 Puma 2. 4 turbo diesel engine, which develops 122bhp and gives it a Vmax of almost 150kmh. The TD4 replaces the TD5 in 2007 and has 20% more torque, but above all, it will be coupled to a 6-speed gearbox as opposed to 5 previously, which literally transforms its road handling. Our example is of French origin and has only had 3 owners, all in the region. It stands out for its perfect condition and rigorous maintenance at Land Rover. The bodywork has no dents, the paintwork is superb and has retained all its shine. The underbody is free from perforating corrosion.
The upholstery is also in very good condition. The running gear behaves well, the steering has no abnormal play, the suspension does its job perfectly and the braking is effective and balanced. A great deal of work was carried out 2 years ago, including the replacement of the stabiliser bar bushes, various silent blocks and the sealing of the front axle balls. The Wolf-type wheels are fitted with Goodyear tyres that have recently been replaced.
