1973 Triumph TR6 125bhp – Exceptional Condition Throughout - Beautifully restored, expertly upgraded, and superb to drive Introduced in 1969, the Triumph TR6 was the final evolution of the classic TR line, styled by German coachbuilder Karmann and powered by the smooth, fuel-injected 2. 5-litre straight-six engine inherited from the TR5. With independent rear suspension, crisp handling, and muscular styling, the TR6 quickly became Triumph’s best-selling sports car, combining British character with genuine performance. Of the 94, 619 built, just 8, 370 were right-hand drive for the UK market, making genuine home-market cars increasingly sought after today. According to its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, this lovely UK-supplied, matching-numbers TR6 (Chassis CR/ 499-O / Engine CR/ 438-HE) was built in Coventry on 12 December 1972 and despatched to Hartwells of Banbury on 15 February 1973. It was sold new to Mr L. Bullimore of Warwick, first registered on 3 April 1973, and still retains its original registration MAC 680L. Finished in its original colour combination of Pimento Red with a Black vinyl interior, black carpets and black mohair soft top, it retains its original 2. 5-litre fuel-injected engine, 4-speed gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears, and 15'' steel wheels. A Tracker system is also fitted. The car underwent a bare-metal repaint by Waldeck Bodyshop in Feltham between 2007 and 2010, followed by a professional setup and tuning by Triumph specialists Enginuity in Acton, who later sold the car to its current owner in 2011.
