Description
HSCC Identity and Previous FIA Papers, Just had Full Engine Rebuild. Not raced for a number of years.
There was a time, between 1999 and 2004, that this particular car was the most dominant and successful Lotus Cortina racing in the UK. Known affectionately as "LUV 12", because the car always ran with the plates LUV 12, (although never registered as such) it won many races in both the HSCC Series and FIA races abroad.
It was part of a two car équipe, very professionally prepared and run, with engines built and developed by Nick Stagg Engineering. This car won many races both in the UK and abroad and, in fact, was never beaten by another Lotus Cortina holding many lap records for both the class and overall. It is extremely well set up , handles superbly, and would undoubtedly still be competitive today, particularly in the ever popular HSCC Historic Saloon series, for which it is still eligible.
Sadly, this much-lauded Lotus has not waved a wheel for most of the last decade as the previous owner hung up his helmet but was too emotionally attached to it to sell it until now. It provides a fantastic basis with an exceptional history, offers exceptional value for money in this price range and is just begging to be driven again in anger !!!
