History: From the 3. 0 CSi, which, thanks to Bosch fuel injection, delivered 200 hp, BMW built 8, 144 units at Karmann. This CSi was first registered in Switzerland on 1 August 1973. Forty years ago the owning family had their children take their first driving lessons in the stylish BMW coupé. The Munich sports car is in excellent preserved condition, in a flawless and honest shell. After a long life in the same family, the collectible is now to pass into new hands. Bodywork and paint: The original paint is in a remarkable condition with only light patina and hardly visible minor paint flaws. The gaps are flawless and the hinges and chrome elements are in equally fine condition. Interior: The well-kept genuine leather interior in the original ivory finish, equipped with the matching three-spoke Nardi wood steering wheel, provides comfort and a sporty ambience. The interior is in unrestored and exceptionally well-preserved original condition. Engine and mechanics: The 3. 0 injection engine is an icon of engine construction. With a power output of 200 hp it was superior to almost all 4-seat coupés. The complete servicing documentation has been up to date since 1988. Chassis and suspension: At the last veteran inspection the brakes were overhauled, shock absorbers checked and all moving parts lubricated. Both the suspension and the brakes enable safe driving of this sports car without nosing and with minimal body roll. Driving feel: BMW is renowned for its driving pleasure. This CSi proves it, radiating a touch of nobility as well as a strong dose of sportiness. The noble materials such as leather and wood underline the luxury of the era.
