We often get asked by clients for this sort of vehicle, however normally we put them into our own “donor pool” to allow us to rebuild vehicles ourselves – however at present our donor queue is full, and so we are offering this to the market for a prospective buyer who fancies a rebuild project to see them through 2025.
What you see in the photos is exactly what you will get – no more and no less. The chassis will require replacement – the bulkhead will require repair or replacement also.
This Series 2a is fitted with the 2286cc petrol engine – this hasn’t been tested or run up to speed, and the same goes for the gearbox – but they’re easy enough to recondition and refit… the important thing is all the main items you need are there – many donors come with lots of important bits missing that can be tricky to source or be “exchange only” when rebuilding – so having all these items is great to see (and exactly why we bought it with a view to using it in the future).
This will need to be trailed away, and will need to be winched onto a trailer – we can happily assist with this should you need us to do so – please ask for a quote – or you can send your own agent if you wish.
The V5c is present and “live” – so this can be sold to a new keeper and transferred into their name and SORN’d etc – many donors require a V62 to be filled out, which is both time consuming (can be a 3 month process) and carries a fee of £25.
We are extremely confident that, if one was minded to do so – pulling this vehicle “to bits” would be fetch far more than the asking price on this as a complete vehicle – but we just haven’t got the time – or the space – to do it ourselves right now. Please forgive us stating the obvious here but it doesn’t run or drive, and is sold as for spares or repair and doesn’t come with a warranty. We can, of course, assist with giving some free impartial advice about where best to source parts etc for the new keeper.
So – if you are looking for a project to keep you busy through to the winter, are looking for a “donor” to get bits from to finish your own project, or you just fancy a bonding experience with the kids in the garage doing something practical rather than being glued to the various electronic devices – this could be ideal for you.
