Description
A true classic sports car .
Fantastic XK 120 DHC in the colour combination Green over Cream/ Interior Suede with full Matching Numbers and rounded off by the matching chrome spoke rims. This colour combination, which was demonstrably the only one ever produced in its original form, was inspired by Sir Sterling Moss' XK120 FHC.
This XK120 FHC was born on 6 February 1953 in England in the colour Battleship Grey with a Red interior. The vehicle then travelled to the USA and was delivered and registered to its first owner in Hornburg, Los Angeles in July 1953. From then on, the vehicle spent its life in the USA until 2014. First in Los Angeles, then in New York and finally in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.
In 2014, this XK120 came to Germany and from then until 2022 was restored to a high standard by the owner with the help of renowned experts Nut and Bolt, whereby countless original parts were reused. The engine and gearbox were overhauled and the body was restored and finally painted in Cream over Green. With this Jaguar XK120 FHC, great importance was attached to a largely original reconstruction.
The vehicle, including all instruments, switches, etc., was dismantled down to the last screw, repaired and reassembled. A real classic with wonderful lines and a powerful engine.
