Ford Cortina 1600 Deluxe 4D
Very original car with low milage!
Sold new here in Finland and purchased originally by a transport company as a summer car, after that it was owned by two enthusiasts before being purchased by its current owner. So, a four-owner car from new that has only ever driven in the summer months.
According to the previous owners, the speedometer reading of just under 40 000 km is to be correct, although there is no documented proof of this. In 1997 it was registered as a museum vehicle and the certificate is showing the then speedometer reading to be 32 000 km.
The owner is stating that the paint is still original, only the left rear fender and the upper edge of the right front door have been touched up by a top professional due to some rust-free scratches.
It is totally rust free and has never been welded (except for the exhaust pipe), this is due to only ever being driven in the summer months, and very little at that.
Mechanically everything is in order, and she is ready to be enjoyed. The engine is leaking a little oil, as Fords of this age usually do, this is due to some dried-out seals.
There can not be many survivors like this still out there, totally original apart from the aftermarket alloy wheels being fitted, the original rims and dust caps are included with the sale.
