History:
The Jaguar F-type was first presented as a concept car in 2011 and went into production in 2013. Since the start of production, three engines have been offered; a V6 engine with 340 hp, the same twin supercharged engine with 380 hp and a 5-litre V8 with 495 hp. With a top speed of 275 km/ h and an acceleration of 4. 9 seconds from standstill to 100 km/ h with an average fuel consumption of 8. 9 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres, this beautiful convertible is more than just presentable. With a mileage of just 64, 000 kilometres and a complete maintenance history, this F-type is equipped with everything you need. It was acquired by the Goodtimer owner three years ago and served him as a comfortable and reliable alternative to the sporty classic cars as a summer vehicle before the car went to another car collector for the past season.
Body and paintwork:
The body is completely undamaged and has very few, barely visible spots of pebbles. The paintwork in its original Premium Blue colour has been freshly polished and sealed with ceramic.
Interior:
The entire interior is very clean and tidy. Apart from the start button and the gearshift pedals, where the surface coating has worn off a little, this specimen feels like new. The fantastic leather/ Alcantara seats are extremely comfortable and cosy, even at high temperatures. The automatic air conditioning and the excellent sound system make long journeys a relaxing pleasure.
Engine and mechanics:
The 380S has been regularly serviced and maintained. Only 5, 000 kilometres have been driven since the last major service, during which the water pump was also replaced. The entire technical system is fully functional and will be freshly inspected by the Swiss MOT (MFK) upon purchase.
Remarkable is the switchable engine control and the exhaust system, which offers three different settings from a gentle purr to a hiss.
Chassis:
The chassis and brakes are of the highest calibre. The coated 19-inch alloy wheels in bronze, which harmonise with the paintwork, are worthy of note.
Driving experience:
The F-type is a sports car with elegance and charm. And it is probably the most affordable sports raodster, sprinting to 100 km/ h in less than 5 seconds. You feel comfortable and safe in the cockpit. The power to the rear wheels is immediately corrected by the traction control system, which forgives the odd driving error.
Recommendation:
The F-type is probably the cheapest way to enjoy a genuine sports roadster in the premium segment. The F-type 380S is also extremely reasonable in terms of maintenance costs. The breathtaking acoustics produced by both the engine and the music system.
