Descrição
Very fine and rare Mathis EMY-6 Dynamic. I am the third owner, after I bought the car in 1968. The mayor of Sexfontaines in France was the second owner. Restoration by myself took place between 1968 and 1980.
This EMY-6 Mathis is equipped with the desirable and smooth running 2. 2 litre six cylinder, as opposed to the more common 4 cylinder cars, that are found in abundance. No rust other than some surface rust on the undercarriage, and very original.
The car was not used since early 2000's, but we have awoken it recently and gone through it to get it running smoothly. In this process, the car received new tires (Michelin Supercomfort), new battery, electronic ignition (123) and all the wiring has been gone through. The mechanical brakes have been taken apart and gone over as well. The steering wheel, which was broken has been restored to perfection. Lastly, the original carburettor has been professionally rebuilt. Of course, the car was also serviced and greased with new oil, new coolant. It does need some final touches and then it would be ready for the local car show or summer evening trips.
However, other priorities and my age make me look for a successor to give this super rare pre-war French saloon the love and care she deserves.
It comes with some additional parts, among which a cylinder head, crankshaft, camshaft and the remade hubcaps (which only require chrome and the logo on it)
