The Ducati 1299 Superleggera, produced in just 500 units, is the first Ducati with a carbon fiber frame, swingarm, wheels, and fairings. It is also equipped with the most powerful twin-cylinder engine ever produced (215 hp at 11, 000 rpm), all assisted by electronics comparable to those of the MotoGP bikes of the time.
