2011 Porsche 911 997 Carrera 4S with a full-service history.
The Porsche 997 is arguably the sweet spot in the 911 range. It features the lithe and nimble handling from a chassis that follows traditional 911 proportions, steering which provides wonderful feedback and engaging engines, but with up-to-date technology and performance.
The model was introduced in 2004 and was a major improvement on the outgoing 996. It featured a return to circular headlights which were the most obvious change but coupled with dynamic chassis changes along with much improved fit and finish. Above all that it remained a classic 911 size and retained hydraulic steering that provides feedback that electric systems struggle to match. Although subsequent 911 models are great, the 997 is a standout iteration.
Our model is a 997. 2 registered in March 2011, so late in the line of production which ceased in 2012. It features the 3. 8L flat six engine producing 385bhp with a four-wheel drive system and PDK, much improved over the Tiptronic in the pre-facelift model. Capable of 0-60 in 4. 3 seconds and topping out at 183mph it is finished in white and presents perfectly as you would expect commensurate with its very low mileage of 38, 800 and looks stunning against a black leather interior with upgraded Turbo wheels. It comes with all the must have options, a full list of which are below. The 997 has a two-year service interval and the full book pack records a full-service history with Porsche main dealers and independent specialists.
The original purchaser was clearly an enthusiast, specifying a sports exhaust system, Sport Chrono Plus as well as the rare and expensive ceramic brakes. The full and expensive options list fitted to our car is as follows:
