Description
This splendid 300SL is well known to us – we’ve serviced and supplied the car for a dozen years and know it intimately. It was supplied new by Dick Lovett of Swindon to their customer Mr Harrison of Bristol in September 1988. In 1991 his wife Mrs Andrea Harrison was registered as the second keeper, then in 1995, after seven years with the Harrisons, during which time it was kept maintained by Cruickshank of Bristol, the car passed to Lionel Jenkins of Weston-Super-Mare with the mileage reading 28, 000. Some 15 years later, having been regularly serviced by Pentagon Mercedes-Benz of Weston-Super-Mare, with the mileage at 45, 000 the car moved back to Bristol into the care of Nick Lalande. In 2012 the car came into the SL Shop’s orbit, and we supplied it to Martin Thornell of Warwick with 49, 000 miles on the clock. We serviced the car five times in the six years and 5, 000 miles of Mr Thornell’s ownership, then in 2018 it came back to us before Franco Mancini from North London took possession, doing only 2, 000 miles in four years until the SL passed through our hands again in 2022 to its present keeper.
A full handbook pack accompanies the car, along with a service booklet carrying 18 entries, MoT history, two spare keys and alarm remotes.
