Norton was founded in 1898 and started producing motorcycles in 1902. The company had a number of owners through the years until the TVS Group re-established the brand in 2020
One of TVS' first tasks was to address the previous organisation's flawed superbike, the V4SS. Realising it was going to be a huge undertaking to sort out the bike's many problems, the descision was made to completly re-engineer the bike
The resulting V4SV was produced at the new Norton factory at Solihull and existing V4SS owners were offered the new bike at a greatly reduced price as a show of goodwill to owners left with bikes they could not use
The V4SV is powered by a 1, 200cc 72° V-Four developed in conjunction with engineering masters, Ricardo and producing 185bhp and 125Nm of torque
Built with outstanding attention to detail, it's almost the Pagani of the motorcycle world, a work of art on a par with the Ducati 916 and MV Agusta F4
This example is very highly specified with exposed carbon bodywork, carbon fibre wheels, high spec Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, MOTO GP-style exhaust, full-colour TFT dashboard with rear view camera and a tail tidy
It has covered around 300 miles from new and has had its first service carried out by the Norton factory prior to sale
The bike is supplied with a current V5, the full owner's package including a Harris paddock-stand, soft dust cover, dealers manuals etc., commemorative presentation key box, leather owners manual wallet, standard number plate mount and a special edition V4 owner's publication- one for the Collector
