Depicts Nuvolari in the red Alfa Romeo Monza clinging on to an ever-diminishing lead over German rival Rudolf Caracciola in the white Alfa; The blue Bugatti 51 of 1931 race winner Louis Chiron lies abandoned on the waterfront, having clipped the sandbags during an earlier battle to lap Count Czaykowski, excellent condition.
