Description
This Mercedes 300 SEL 2. 8 was delivered new in France on 04 April 1969. It is a second‑hand example that has just been recommissioned after a few years of inactivity in a garage. The mechanicals have been overhauled. Also, the fuel tank, engine mounts (silentblocs), suspension adjusters and the tyres are new. The condition of its bodywork sets it apart from most cars in this price range. Indeed, there is no corrosion. The sills are original, without Blackson, and in excellent condition as are the door bottoms, headlight surrounds and lower wheel-arch areas, which is becoming rare. Its operation is flawless. While not perfect, it presents the opportunity to enjoy a drive in a 300 SEL and to benefit from the high-end features it offers at a very reasonable price. Viewings by appointment near Fontainebleau at Hervé Chauvin Collection.
