Background:Mercedes-Benz first entered the compact sports saloon segment with the 190E Cosworth in 1984. However, subsequent high performance offerings from its AMG division, while quick, never quite managed to challenge the dominance of the BMW M3. That all changed dramatically in 2008. Rather than subtle competition, Mercedes opted for a more direct approach - a significant engine upgrade that didn’t just compete with its rival, it completely overwhelmed it. While there’s more to the C63 than just raw power, the W204 generation is undeniably defined by its phenomenal M156 6. 2-litre V8 engine. But, to add to the tool to the C63's arsenal against its rivals, the car was offered in arguably its most desired form, the estate.
The Car:Offered here in stunning Obsidian Black over a black leather interior is arguably the finest C63 AMG example currently available. Having covered 84, 000 miles, this car presents in outstanding condition. When ordered new it was treated to a wealth of option.
Presented in a wonderful condition, this C63 AMG’s exterior remains in an almost flawless condition. There are no stone chips anywhere to be found and with only very light swirling in the paintwork, something that is easily rectified. The all-important AMG wheels are also in perfect condition, with no chips, lacquer peel and most importantly no cracks.
The exceptional condition continues throughout the interior, which shows minimal signs of wear. The front seats show very little signs of wear and that also translates to the leather steering wheel. The wood trim remains in great condition, free from scratches and swirl marks, with just a small crack in the passenger side trim. The infotainment system remains in factory specification, whereas most have been converted to Apple CarPlay. The overall condition backs up the fact the car has had just four former keepers.
Mechanically, the car is also in superb condition. With a brilliant driving experience with everything operating like a car with far fewer miles, all backed up by full service history, the majority of which being Mercedes main dealer.
Overall, this is an icon of the fast estate genre. With looks to match the performance, there are few ways to transport the family at speed and under the radar.
