Highlights:
- restored 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé with a mileage of 89. 000 km in very attractive delivery color black / red leather, one of only very few 300 SL Coupés delivered ex works with Rudge center lock rims and one of only 108 Coupés ex works in black!
- according to the Mercedes-Benz built sheet with the number 60 923, the first delivery took place via company Delecroix, Paris on July 6, 1955, and thus this vehicle is one of only very few that were delivered in Europe
- the additional special equipment ordered ex works included:
a special paint finish in high gloss, special leather upholstery, a Becker Le Mans radio with Reims adapter and Hirschmann antenna, disc wheels with Rudge hubs, a second spare wheel with tires, Conti-Extra-Super-Record tires, a remote left signal system, red boucle carpet in the driver's compartment, a windshield washer system, as well as an additional 1kg of black nitro paint, protractor & balancing weights
- Luis d`Antin, an owner from Paris/ Montevideo, Uruguay, is listed in this extract from the register. The car was later imported to the USA and has only had two registered owners since 1967
- later the SL was imported to Germany in 2007 as a complete restoration project and subsequently restored by our company, as well as partially refurbished in the current years (repainting and cylinder head overhaul in 2017)
- In the course of the restoration and at the owner's request, the following extras were installed on the vehicle, which significantly increase driving pleasure, safety and sportiness:
Disc brake conversion on the front axle, small power increase, HK-ENGINEERING 5-speed gearbox, limited slip differential, sports suspension and sports exhaust system, additional heat protection, racing tank, quick-release fasteners on the hood and boot lid and version without bumpers
- we hand over this sporty 300 SL Coupé with the coveted Rudge central locking rims including new delivery service and new general inspection
