Description
The Suzuki RG500 Gamma is one of the most legendary two-stroke sportbikes ever built. Produced in limited numbers between 1985 and 1987 for the road (with later imports and registrations in some markets, including this 1990 example), the RG500 was directly derived from Suzuki’s Grand Prix racing machines. Nicknamed the “square four” due to its unique 499cc two-stroke engine layout, it delivers raw performance with 95 hp at 9, 500 rpm and a screaming exhaust note that defined the 1980s GP era.
This 1990 Suzuki RG500, finished in the iconic blue and white racing livery, has only 16, 000 km on the clock and comes from Sweden. With its lightweight chassis, advanced suspension for its time, and explosive engine character, the RG500 remains one of the most thrilling motorcycles to ride and an absolute highlight for any serious collection. Today, original examples in good condition are increasingly rare and highly sought after worldwide
At VintageMotorcycles. nl, we believe in full transparency, every bike is sold in the condition it’s in at the time of sale.
Some still wear their original tyres or brake lines, while others have already been updated. If you’d like additional work such as a service inspection, new tyres, or replacement brake lines, that’s always possible at an extra cost. This way, you decide how original — or how ready — your next classic should be.
