Only eleven Firefly are known with Utility bodies by E. D. Abbotts of Farnham. This one and one other are
conversions having started life as a Cross & Ellis 4-light saloon on 24. 5. 33 . It appears to have been converted 1950/ 1 and had three owners prior to the current owner of the last eight years.
Rare, eye-catching and practical. Just the thing for picnicking with the family, a day’s fishing or perhaps a
promotional vehicle.
The Firefly was only made for two years with well proven mechanicals including a four cylinder 1500 engine, single down-draught SU and manual four speed gearbox. Altogether a reliable and useful vehicle that stands out from the masses.
