The X85 Renault Clio Cup Race Car is dubbed by many drivers as one of the best handling Hot Hatch racers of all. The 3rd gen factory-built cars were produced between 2006 and 2013 ready to hit the track. In more recent times it was campaigned by Robert Watson in the Castle Combe Hot Hatch Championship in 22 and 23 with a couple of class podiums on a very competitive grid. It was then sold to another Castle Combe racer and was purchased purely as a backup car for their modified X85 Cup Car, but it was never used. The car has a fair amount of work done under ownership of Robert but nothing since due to no use. The shell is in excellent condition, it has been dry stored, trickle charged and started on a regular basis. Essentially a great package out of the box that can still be competitive in a number of series.

The car is being sold as the owner has given up racing for a year or so now and does not intend to race again. There is a small amount of history from when it was racing at Castle Combe during the 22-23 seasons with invoices for regular maintenance and fluid changes etc. Having traced its results through these two seasons the car saw less than 450 miles including qualifying sessions. 6 races in 2022 and just 3 races in 2023 before it was sold. We have the sister car to this available as well but it is enhanced with Pure Motorsport engine and other upgrades. We have additional images available upon request as well as a walk around video.
