Chassis No. SBM11AAB1EW003119
Unveiled in 2010, the McLaren MP4-12C marked the marque's long-awaited return to road car production following the legendary F1. The 12C was an innovative powerhouse in both design and engineering, notably introducing McLaren's carbon fiber MonoCell chassis-lightweight, rigid, and foundational to its future models.
McLaren unveiled a limited edition run of 12Cs in May 2013 to celebrate the marque's 50th anniversary. The 50 12C was limited to just 100 examples worldwide-split evenly between hardtop and Spider variants, all of which came standard with an arsenal of unique enhancements from McLaren Special Operations (MSO).
This 2013 McLaren 50 12C by MSO is finished in elegant Supernova Silver, one of three Elite colors offered for the exclusive anniversary model. It is distinguished from the standard 12C by a custom MSO-designed high-downforce front bumper, carbon Kevlar front floor, and McLaren 50 Ultra Lightweight wheels. Finished in Satin Black, these exclusive wheels reduce two more kilograms than the standard Super Lightweight wheels and frame the factory-fitted carbon ceramic brake upgrade that all 50 12Cs are equipped with as standard. The cabin reflects the 50 12C's restrained exclusivity, trimmed in Carbon Black Full Nappa Leather upholstery throughout. Subtle commemorative details include McLaren 50 branding on the carbon fiber sill panels and floor mats, and an anniversary dedication plate mounted on the driver's door.
This example has remained in Germany from new, accumulating just over 164 kilometers at consignment through two diligent caretakers. In January 2025, the car received a comprehensive service at 36 kilometers by McLaren Frankfurt at the cost of €17. 000. It is furnished with its owner's books and original, 50 12C-exclusive delivery items including the monogrammed black and silver car cover and limited-edition key.
One of 50 hard-top examples built to celebrate five decades of McLaren, this MSO-enhanced, 2013 McLaren 50 12C offers a rare opportunity to acquire such a fitting tribute to the marque's heritage. With exceptionally low-mileage, lifelong German ownership, and recent factory care, it is a highly collectible expression of McLaren's return to road-car greatness.
