Description
The MG TA was — and still is — beautiful. It is well proportioned and has all the characteristic MG traits: sweeping front wings, proud freestanding headlights, and the unmistakable MG radiator grille. In addition, for once the cockpit was large enough for two adults to sit without feeling like sardines. A small detail, but a big difference.
This TA is from 1938 and is truly rare, as only 3, 003 examples were built. The car came to Denmark in 2003, when it was imported from the UK in fully restored condition. It was sold by Daytona to the current private owner in 2006. Its condition is still very fine.
The ownership history is known from 1971 — the same owner had the car until 2003.
The TA is exceptionally well documented in Denmark. Every maintenance invoice is available, and only professionals have worked on it. In addition, various literature and a workshop manual are included.
The car has just had the head gasket replaced, the valves ground, and the cylinder head skimmed at a reputable workshop.
More photos will follow when the weather permits — otherwise, feel free to stop by in Ballerup and see it in person.
