Lot 259
1982 Honda 49cc Express Moped
Registration no. DJC 433X
Frame no. NC50-2145096
Engine no. NC50E-214529
During the 1970s and 1980s it seemed that Honda simply could not make up its mind about what constituted the definitive moped, the result being a plethora of different models all powered by 50cc two-stroke engines: Caren, Melody, PC50, Camino, and Express to name but five. Featuring automatic (clutch-less) transmission and pumped lubrication, the Express was introduced in 1977 and manufactured until 1984, which was the final year it was available in the UK. The Deluxe version featured leg shields, flashing indicators, and a shopping basket.
Currently displaying a total of 1, 190. 9 miles on the odometer, this Express has not been run for many years. Recommissioning will be required before further use and thus the machine is sold strictly as viewed. Offered with an HPI report and two keys. Offered with a V5C.
£500 - 800
All lots are sold ‘as is/ where is’ and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness, mileage, engine capacity and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
