The name says it all: "special." And this Alfa Romeo certainly deserves that title. With a production run of 1366 units, it's certainly exclusive. And what about the styling? Famed designer Franco Scaglione, who worked for Bertone, created an absolute masterpiece that truly belongs in an art museum, but which, albeit very rarely, can be seen on the road. What's truly remarkable is that the aerodynamic bodywork has a drag coefficient of just 0, 28. Truly unique at the time, and even for the next two decades, as this figure was only surpassed after that.
This Giulia Sprint Speciale is one of the last examples delivered and was registered in 1966. It's the 1600 cc version, meaning the 116 hp 4-cylinder DOHC engine, coupled with a superb five-speed gearbox, only has to move 860 kg. All of this is achieved with such smoothness and ease of use that every kilometer is a motoring experience. The sheer enjoyment continues upon seeing the beautiful interior, where every detail demonstrates the high-quality, comprehensive restoration this car recently underwent. We personally followed the entire restoration, and of course, numerous photos attest to the thorough, bare-metal, and professional approach. Since then, the car has only racked up the running-in kilometers, and we now have a fantastic Giulia SS to proudly display. And we're thrilled with it, as an SS of this quality is very hard to find.
The car is completely original. Even the beautiful and expensive Borrani spoke wheels were available as an option at the time.
Alfa Romeo guarantees sublime driving cars, and when all that beautiful technology is also contained in a body that is unparalleled in terms of styling, then you must be envied as the owner of such a beautiful car, right?
