This is a very straight and genuine one previous owner, 1985 Classic Saab 900 tjugofem 2 dr saloon, 2ltr 8v Non turbo special edition. To celebrate 25yrs, tjugofem is Swedish for 25, of Saab motorcars.
It is numbered 155 of 300 produced, and there are not many left on the road, let alone with this mileage or in this condition. I've had the car around 15 months, but now need to sell to buy another vehicle.
Bought from the original owners son, it was stood in a barn 4yrs before I found it and got it back on the road. Since then it has had a complete new clutch, including slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, alternator, rear exhaust and other things to make her drive just like the low mileage car she is.
I got her with 30000miles on and have since had a great 3000mile trip round Europe in the Summer with no problems whatsoever, the truth of this car in driving it... which leads me to one little problem, I was sure I had the original documents, service history etc, but all I can find is the last MOT, 5 yrs old and with 29500 miles on it. So if you're interested you're going to have to come and see this car, give me a call even, I am a Saab enthusiast, I run two other c900's!
Bad Points: a few supermarket dings, it was owned by an old girl in her 80's, a little surface rust under the tailgate and a few bumper marks but that's about it!
The roof is not coming down yet, the odd soft bit, but in fact its the best I've seen for a car of this age. Promise there are no secrets with this car, I'm selling in good faith!
Taxed till March 2011 and tested till March 2012, but I'm positive it will pass a test first time, I've kept her maintained throughout.
I've fitted the Ronal minilites, but the original wheels are available too. It has the original "Clarion for Saab" stereo, in fact it is totally original throughout and drives just like a 37000mile vehicle.... it does put a smile on your face, like all c900's!
It's also on classic insurance, £150 a yr, fully comp for 5000miles... cheap motoring!
I'm in no way a trader, but just want to get as much as I can for this car to fund my new purchase, I'll still be keeping two of my c900's.... so not leaving the fold!
